Share a form with a link or QR code
Every published form has a short public link and a QR code. Here is where to find them and how to control who can open the form.
Updated 3 November 2026
Publishing a form gives it a public link on the oy.fm short domain and a QR code you can download. Both are in the Share tab of the form.
The public link
Copy the link and paste it anywhere: an email, a chat message, a social post. The link stays the same when you edit the form, so you can keep improving a form that is already in circulation. If you prefer your own address, custom subdomains are available in the sharing settings.
QR codes
Download the QR code as an image for print, packaging, signage or slides. It points at the same public link, so it keeps working after edits.
Pass values into the form
Add query parameters to the link to prefill hidden fields, for example the campaign a respondent came from. The values are stored with the response and can drive logic. The developer documentation lists the exact URL format.
Control who can open it
In the form settings you can:
- Protect the form with a password.
- Require a six-digit code sent to the respondent's email before the first question (gated entry).
- Add CAPTCHA and duplicate-submission controls.
- Set a closing date or a response limit, after which the form stops accepting answers and shows a message you choose.
Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the link of a published form?
The short link is fixed for the life of the form. Use a custom subdomain if you need a branded address, or create a new form for a new address.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It encodes the public link, which stays valid as long as the form is published.
